Tick Tick in HDD

Guys I got a problem while doing Usb hostmode

I buyed a USB OTG cable & tried to connect my Mouse to N900 as written in Youtube.. And it Works

And While i try to connect my 160GB HDD to N900 On Clicking VBUS MOD ON a Blue light blinked on HDD & When i clicked on Enumerate A Tick Tick Sound is coming from HDD & No other response.. btw HDD have NTFS Filesystem

So anyone can Help me to connect my HDD to N900 plz...

Re: Tick Tick in HDD

Hdd's use too much power from the usb port, the N900 can't supply that power. They wont work, unless you use a powered usb hub.
(At least, this is what I think)

Buy a powered USB hub, there's no way a N900's supplying a USB HDD the power it needs.

Try to use a HD with a own Power Supply.
And moreover, NTFS are by default not supported.

Kernel-power seems to support reading NTFS.
