Internet Connection Issue
 

I have a problem with my n900, everytime i try to connect to a wifi connection it says cannot connect want to try again, this problem happened today, the phone wont connect to my home wifi and just yesterday and the days before i never had a problem with connecting to my home wifi or any other wifi connection. i flashed my n900 to see if it would help but its the same problem, i cant get a internet connection. My phone can find wifi signals but it wont connect. Can any1 plz help me

which wifi router are u using in ur home ?

dude the same thing happened to me when i tried connecting with all d link wifi routers :( but when i tried connecting with net gear router it connected in a jiffy :)

you should check your router, maybe the problem is not in your phone ;)

i just got it to work a minute ago i manually inputted my router settings to my phone and now it connects to my wifi.

the only problem im trying to figure out now is how ti get the internet on my phone to work it seems that it only connects to my wifi but theres no internet connection

Seeing how you didn't have a problem before, have you tried switching of your router for a bit before restarting? I've had similar issues between my laptop and router.

i got it to work. I found my router ip address, gateway, dns.. and manually put it in on my n900 internet connection advanced settings and now it works fine. thx for every1s help

i guessed the problem was when i went to the mall yesterday, there must of been so much wifi signals, and it must of got my phone confused, on my homes wifi signal. Cause the only thing that i think must of caused my problem was that my phone was set to search wifi signals every 5 minutes, and i was inside a big mall that had a lot of signals and it was trying to connect to different signals everytime i would walk around. I only got dis phone last week and this is the first time i took it to a big mall. Now im just going to maually search for wifi when i want wifi so i wont have this same problem. I hope this post helps other ppl in the futre that has this same problem.
