OtterBox Commuter custom windscreen mount
5 Attachment(s)
After spending a while looking for a windscreen mount for my 900 I realised there wasn't much out there apart from the Brodit ones but they are expensive and didn't seem just right for me. There are plenty of cheapo ones around but they are just that - cheap - and look it too. So I decided to see if I could fabricate my own or adapt an existing holder. The pics below show the results. If there's any interest I'll post a 'how-to': there's not a great deal of work involved and the parts are relatively inexpensive (thanks eBay).

Re: OtterBox Commuter custom windscreen mount
I'm waiting on a part to arrive so I can build a second mount; as it's progressing I will take pics and then do a tutorial. Soon as it's finished I will put it up here.

Thanks for this.
I've been looking for something with a clip on it so I can clip it to the top of my laptop screen. |
Re: OtterBox Commuter custom windscreen mount
It doesn't use a clip as such... the adaptor on the back of the Otterbox attaches to it's counterpart on the windscreen mount. You could always use the entire suction mount to affix it to your screen, see the last pic in post #2.

How much did that cost total?
