VGBA - Frying my CPU
The VGBA application really really FRIES my N900's CPU.
It uses 100% of my CPU, whenever I use the application. I don't know why, and I've been looking around for somehow I can optimize it, or maybe limit the emulator. Is there anyway to make the Emulator use less CPU, or maybe optimize it? Also, I'd maybe want to change emulators, if there is another available. If you have any ideas, please submit them, I love pokemon! :) |

bumppp !
I really like Pokemon ): |
Re: VGBA - Frying my CPU
Optimize it how? Emulators whatever platform you are using will always hammer you hardware. There are resource intensive apps.

Re: VGBA - Frying my CPU
I have VGBA and I play for one or two hours each day , havent noticed anything like that. CPU is usually around 35-40% according to conky and the phone is getting little warm. I dont think you need to worry about it, it wont fry your CPU for sure :)
p.s. Who's that Pokemon? :D as for the optimizations try changing VGBA maemo settings if you havent done so...in particular uncheck "Stimulate TV scanlines" and "Make picture smooth" |
Re: VGBA - Frying my CPU
I've done so, do you think I should uninstall certain things?
I have a Charmelion. |
Re: VGBA - Frying my CPU
No you think you shouldnt worry about it, nothing will happen to N900. Which one are you playing? Fire Red?
