Thank you guys my sim card problems are fixed.
 

Hi was having issues with my amzing phone's sim card. Kinda upset me cause I guess the n900 only gets a one year warranty for USA. I recently read about someone putting paper in there as a temporary fix to put paper in there, no go.


I tried reflashing it to no avail.

I was keeping the back off as i was troubleshooting and realized while holding it and putting pressure on the battery my sim card came back to life! The paper trick was the workaround, but instead I cut up an old giftcard that still had a buck on it to about the size of the battery slot and put it inbetween the sim in the battery and presto it magically worked. THANK YOU!!!

I don't have to upgrade prematurely, yay. :D

I just wish the n950 had a keyboard....might go android in a year...but lovin my n900 for as long as it lasts:cool:


The funny thing is , its the same giftcard I used towards my purchase of my n900 a year and a half ago!!!:rolleyes:
