A real file manager for n800?
 
Can anyone tell me if there is a better file manager that shows all of the file system,not just the local user stuff like the provided file manager.

I can xterm my way around but its painfull without a real keyboard.

You can open xterm and do the following:

Code:
cd /home/user/MyDocs
ln -s / System
Now open Nokia's filemanager and you will be able to browse the whole file system.

Some people say that it's a bad idea because some programs (like the media player) scan the MyDocs folder to find audio/video files and ... loop !

For me GPE Filemanager is fine. (or xterm :rolleyes: )

Bad bad media player! :mad:

It worked fine on the 770, though.

I am reporting that the above has worked well with no I'll effects. Much easier to explore around the file system this way.
