Voip/sip missing calls?
 

I have been using different types of sip account to receive calls. I have tried

vbuzzer.com
localphone.com
gizmo/sipphone
sipgate

50% of incoming calls to these accounts on my N900 doesnt ring the phone. Most of the time they go to voicemail or something like that. Sometimes, they ring but no voice.

Tried with different Wi-Fis and Tmobile 3G. Still the same.

Reflashed the device also, no change

Any idea?

Hi rosh,

I've been looking into that, and to some extent something like your stuff happened to me. But after rechecking my online voip/sip account i've learned that I have tick-ed by mistake an option that was saying to divert all my incoming voip/sip calls to voicemail. Maybe you should check to. However, my problem was to a different sip provider, other than your examples.

you should try with other provider, like Iptel

I've had it happen frequently when I was on Gizmo. I have moved to SIPGATE since Gizmo's demise but haven't received a call on it yet to say if it is any better. But you're not crazy.

Wondring what are hype sip providers in 2013 free and pay ones

try to disable wlan power saving and see it that helps: settings -> inet conn -> connections -> your connection -> edit -> advanced -> power saving

I think you mixed something up here.
Above link refers only to SIP problem under ubiboot!

I would like to ask if there are still users having a SIP account and making/receiving calls only with that account?
I was told it's not reliable/isn't working (don't mean SFOS but on the old n900).
