Brand new n900 not charging *read specifics*
 

Hi Guys,

I ended up buying a new n900 because i can't live without maemo. Anyways curiosity got the better of me and i tried the original n900 charger i had rather than the new one and that seemed to work fine. So i decided to swap the battery out and put the new battery in my broken n900(stuffed usb or something) and it did the same result when charging then i tried the new charger on the old n900 and still the same no response.

Afterwards i tried plugging the charger back into the new n900 with the new battery and got no response :S. I Tried the new charger and got no response :S. USB MODE WORKS and charges. So i had a second battery than came with thew new n900 and i decided i would plug in the second battery and try the oem nokia car charger i got and it got no response. Then tried the new charger on the new n900 and still nothing :(.

Have you guys got any ideas? I hardly think all 3 chargers & 2 batterys are faulty (batteries charge via new usb cable). I was thinking a reflash?

If not I'll have to opt for a re-placement but its from hong kong = lame wait.

Update,

I performed a complete flash and still no charging only usb. I think maybe the actual power recognition part has stuffed up :S. Going to email the supplier see what i get
