Looks like you are too much concerned about the piracy here.I don't think your action is bad but apparently it might make some users think:
"You are directly responsible to the copyright holders or you are the cop here."
"Pirated roms would hurt your business,right?:p"
Those are not my thoughts though.

I couldn't care less about the business of ROM pirating or not. Personally I feel that the companies should put all these legacy ROMS up for sale. However I DO care about the EULA of these forums and they specifically mention posting illegal material or links to such material. You probably don't remember but the emulators were pulled from the repos at one stage owing to potential legality issues. I don't want to see a return to that because some idiot is too stupid to figure out how to do their own google search.
