i have to reconnect wifi regularly

after sometime my internet crashes and i cant connect anywhere, just browser behaves as there is no connection. however wifi indicator says that im still connected with access point. After reconnecting problem disappers for while, but then it happens again. i tried it on lots APs. What can be the fault?

Re: i have to reconnect wifi regularly

Same problem here, have tried different settings but to no avail, really. (like wpa2 mode only). When the connection is also used for streaming video on a laptop, it becomes much worse whilse the network is of good quality and speed. Have set it to 100 mw already, I am somewhat convinced that helped a bit.

I am on the laterst PR1.3, power kernel 42, community SSU.

Re: i have to reconnect wifi regularly

You might want to look what the kernel-messages say after losing your connection. (with the "dmesg"-command).
I have had that problem with my wireless network too, but it seemed to be a problem caused by the router: after upgrading to a new firmware (in the router..) the connection seemed to remain stable. Maybe that could help you too.

Re: i have to reconnect wifi regularly

Kernel messages are the output of the kernel. That means that if anything (strange) happens you see in in there. i.e. when you insert a usb device, you can check if it works in the k.m.
I have found a similar case on google:

Looks like he found a reason for it.
