ASUS Eee Pad Transformer

Well folks as of today this monster is available :D

http://www.asus.com/Eee/Eee_Pad/Eee_...sformer_TF101/

I preordered it today and I'm super excited . I think in fall when I'm back to university I'll definitely get the keyboard and no notebooks , netbooks or anything like that :)

p.s. N900 = Maemo + NITDroid + MeeGo + Tablet = SUPERWIN:eek:

Which store has it in stock atm?

Lack of supply could kill this before it starts to breathe. Its a real shame it sold out almost instantly

I tried on at the store. Trying to shoot a photo crashed the device. Plus, no usb on the tablet. I bet Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet is better.

Because... high demand and low supply.. THAT's what kills a product? :) It did pretty good for the Wii.

But the website claims that tablet has two USB 2.0 ports. Am I looking at a different tablet ?

It probably got the USB ports on the keyboard? Might be wrong here.

Anyways transformer will most probably be my first tablet. After the new update it seems to have gotten solid reviews, only 3.0 tablet with ISP screen, all the ports, battery life and surprisingly cheap compared to other high profile 3.0 tablets for what if offers.
Only other option is the newer version of tab 10.1 with memory card slot, but both transformer and 10.1 should arrive here somewhere around June so i'll wait till that to make my final decision.

Great 10 min video of the tablet

I haven't canceled my Amazon order yet; if they get supplies soon, I'll go for it. I think the release was kind of a fake; I don't think significant supplies have actually reached the US. I still wonder if the horrible Japan situation has somehow caused the delay. But it appears to have a significant crowd waiting for it. When there's that big of a commotion, you know that there will be future addons to perhaps solve the USB problem and bring about other enhancements.

Speaking of addons, does anyone have opinions about the various cases and other addons that are waiting to be bought?
