Problem with the n900 not showing SMS
 

Hey guys after a good few months of buying my n900 its now beginning to play up.

When I get a text message it will appear on the multitasking menu however if I go to read it it comes up blank in the conversations.

It started playing up when on one of the conversations it will would still have the sending icon after the text message had been sent so I cleared all the messages then a day or two after this has happened.

I'm having the same problem. Mine happened after I used Theme Customizer. After the reboot sms/im would show the beginning lines in Conversations menu and then when I clicked on them they were blank(some were even 'blinking' in the black background slightly but were not visible as if trying to load).

Tried removing el-vl and a few other things via terminal and rebooting and lost old conversations but still its the same-no visible sms.

Any ideas, most welcome!

This is already in a few threads guys.
I had same issue - its apparently a corrupt database. I followed these instructions and it fixed it right up.

I also did it from within midnight commander as for some reason was having probs with xterm

Did this last night actually and so far all is good.

i faced the problem and did what is mentioned in the post.all my messeges are gone now.is der any way to get them back?
