n900 hanging in there

As a former Nokia fan, and fading meamo (n900 enthusiast), I have been reluctant to use Android.

Anyway I bought a xoom my first android device, for the most part it is impressive, Google have solved some of the simple easy low handing fruit in terms of fixes.

but to the credit of the n900 community and my horror there is nothing like gPodder, microB browser, or KMplayer.

1) I tested about 15 apps trying to find a player that would play my .aac files recorded on my n900 and nothing that can play it back without skipping or pausing.) i miss mplayer. Xoom 0 n900 +1

2 so an Ipad fan-boy disappointed he confident watch a YouTube movie on his I pad asked how it looked on my xoom, to my horror i got a message saying that the YouTube movie would not play on my device. so i pulled out my n900 and over 3G typed in the url and the movie played smoothly at 240p, my n900 outperforming my new Xoom Xoom 0 n900 +1

the microB browser is still the best mobile browser, it can do with a few tweaks but it is better than the native Xoom browser and Fierfox mobile.

Weird, I've tested a xoom and the first thing I did ws to go on youtube, and it played videos perfectly..

But good to know N900 is still hanging in there.. :)

Also Flash 10.2is coming to Android 3.(1?) devices with (better?) hw accel. + more.

I'm surprised to hear that too. I thought the selling point of Xoom is that running Android 3.0.1 and having flash player 10.2.

This is the link, to the first you tube movie I attempted to play on my Xoom, plays on my n900 no problem.

as I said, didn`t sell the Xoom over the iPad, but did do it for my n900.
