Can the N800 also serve as a PDA?

Hi,

I have been using the N800 as my mini-computer and I never have had any need for PDA kind of stuff. But now I want to give a N800 to my wife primarily as intended, as an Internet Tablet, but she would also like to have it as a PDA with calendar, appointments, address book, etc.

Since I now precious nothing about this stuff, could you please reccommend some software to install which would take care of my wife's PDA needs? (please include a reference to the repos if possible)

Also - I know that google has a calendar and contacts. Is there a good google client application which she could use to sync her N800 with the google servers?

Thanks!

Go to maemo.org then hit downloads. There you can find all the applications you need.

The GPE PDA applications are the best that I have found. If you (or your wife) uses Linux and Evolution as a desktop PIM, you can follow my instructions here to set up synchronization (otherwise just follow the "Install GPE" parts): Sync N800 GPE and Evolution
