Need bigger rootfs flashable image for n900
 

I saw somewhere around this forum some custom flashable images with bigger rootfs that i am not able to find know. Can someone point me to one of those?

I have installed lots of things on my phone and I want to have a clean system.

I will remove this thread ASAP.

I havent heard of any maybe you misunderstood did you mean extra opt space because rootfs is on a seperate chip so you cannot expand it m

Well so I suppose its extra opt space. I just need more space for apps in my eMMC because my partition is full with nitdroid and maemo apps.

I was thinking of removing this thread because I am sure it's double posted, the thing is that english is not my native language and I can't find the keywords

well there are a lot of methods to increase the optfs i have mine 8gb
the method i use is hexing the emmc.bin (file) before then reflash n900

to do this :
1-download and install any hex-editor (i use neo)
2-grab the emmc.bin (file)
3-open it with the hex-editor
4-search for pattern (partition)
5-you will see a bit below number : they are (2048)
6-change them to any size you want until 9999
7-reflash your n900 with emmc.bin (file)

for me i changed them to 8192 so i got 8gb of optfs (to install applications)

btw you can use backupemnu to backup your rootfs and optfs then restoring them after you reflash your n900

and i think there is a downloadable 8gb emmc image if you want google it

Karam, i want it clean. I already have my backups with multiboot but i am getting low battery life these days, I don't know if it is because of dirty FS or because I moved to another workplace

Do I need to flash any other additional file such as emmc or is it enough with this?

thats file is the emmc .. after flashing the custom EMMC 8 GIGA , FLASH THE LATEST FIRMWARE PR1.3 job is done !!
