idea: Bluetooth mouse
 

It happens alot to me that i grab my N900 instead of my USB mouse
So this made me think..
would it be possible to use a N900 as a bluetooth mouse?

I'm not talking about a touchpad like the one from bluemaemo (wich i love btw) but like a real mouse..

could it be done with the flash and camera?

I know our precious devices aren't that durable to slide it constantly, but it would be nice if i could use it as a mouse when i'm in bed, because a bed won't scratch a phone...

I'm working on a concept in photoshop but 'll add it tomorow.

lcuk had a demo where he used the front camera to read the position of 4 overhead lights over his desk.

In the video his N900 slides between different liqbase "desktops" accurately and smoothy when he slides the phone on his table. As if his N900 was a window into a much bigger screen. Pretty neat demo.

still i'dd prefer it with the camera on the back so you'r able to click using a mouse layout on the touchscreen..

Sure, Bluemaemo. But it's still a cool idea, and a good challenge for someone up to it.

i must admit. After reading this sentence, i don't know what the hell went wrong but this is what i ment:

Because risking scretching the lens of your camera is stupid.
Using the accelerometer for tilt, now that would be an idea worth working on.

I like your idea very much but I suppose it isn't the easiest thing in the world. Someone has done it I think on a N70
