Dial Central possible script request
 

Hey all.

Since I have an old N800, I was thinking about a huge touch screen keyboard to be used with DC.

The thing is, when responding to a message, the history appears too low on the screen by default.

If you bring up the hildon-keyboard and then scroll down you can make the message history higher up on the screen.

I was wondering if perhaps a script using xte could do this automatically.

Here's a pic of the concept though it would be great if the messages received were even higher up on the screen so you can see what you're actually typing.

Maybe there's a trick to make the tablet think that the hildon-keyboard is actually bigger than what it really is?

I don't know, but I thought I'd throw this one out there hoping someone might consider this. :)

Nothing?

I was kind of hoping that the xte script would be something like this:

Point the stylus within the chat box
Enter key to bring up hildon keyboard
Have stylus scroll down the right side of the screen
Point stylus back into the chatbox
Fire up Xkbd

I can't seem to get xte to do anything with this even though the help options state that it's possible.

Any help here?

If not, at least it was a nifty idea. :)
