Never underestimate the number of people out there that are willing to buy overpriced crap (this device is just a C7/Astound in a fancy trim) in an attempt to differentiate themselves from the proletariat. 'Normal' smartphones are accessible to almost everyone these days, so a device like this enables people to indulge in conspicuous consumption.

Thorstein Veblen would have had a field day with something like this. :)
