APP for BLOCK calls and messages
 

Hi guys.
I have tested messageblocker and catblocker for blocking incoming calls and messages.
I cannot find just one good really working app...
this is the last thing I miss on the n900. For symbian there are so many apps and all are working fine. I dont understand that we have no such app for blocking for the maemo.

(if I'am wrong, please let me know)

so...what are you thinking about it??

This is actually implemented natively. You have to press the power button and then "offline mode".

I guess the sarcasm wasn't obvious.

sorry for misunderstanding...I think of course blocking individual numbers.
I know how to get phone to offline mode,thats not problem.

STOP TO COMPARE MAEMO with others OS.

Maemo is in Pole Position for everithing, it has the power to give you All without Switching On a computer for advanced things!
Maemo is open and you gotta be open too, PyCallBlocker does what you're searching for. To add it in autoexec mode use google and find My Thread about that.

If you don't like this kind of app, you can also leanr about c, or C++, or Python and Qt.. Community works in the real life too, we just have to say thanks for everyone's here and for all the people did something for maemo. Source is made for that, you can edit/adjust etc to implement new features ;)

i just wish there was a way to remove catblock from my phone, but everytime i try, app manager shuts down on its own without deleting catblock.

I dont compare maemo to other OS...it was just a note to topic. I know maemo is other. And I have found everything I need here on maemo.org. Only the one app, last, i need.
I know Pycallblocker, but it has in name ''call'' what means, its just for blocking calls. I need also the same but for messages.
Maybe is the last way find it, as you have written, studying the Python or c and so...
I have no idea how it works in programming. It seems like I go to learn something new..

This is a problem for me too. There seems to be no universal app for maemo that can consistently block unwanted calls. I have installed MyContacts primarily to block calls but it seems to have seized working altogether. I tried pyblocker but that did not work at all either. If anyone has a consistent working call blocking application, please let me know.
