NFC finally comes of age

It looks as though google has been able to do what Nokia has been trying to do?

This is not something Google or Nokia decide. The opereators and banks and NFC standard comminy are more important to get this work. And ofcourse endusers...

I am not trusting their cookie management with my search, going all scroogle.org, why should i trust their privacy when it comes to shopping and banking???

Then maybe i have misunderstood the whole exercise. Nokia has pushed for NFC chips in their cellphones for their grand design of future payments,e tc. Google has started google wallet in co-operation with various banks and stores. all you have to do now is "wave" your cellphone in front of the scanner and your item is paid for. Is this not what Nokia has been trying to establish all these years? So now we are seeing the advanced (?) use of NFC?

Pretty cool stuff - if you want to give your privacy away. No srsrly, what are the real benefits? I just don't see them. And we also already have smartcards.
Anyway, for RL I will stick with the good old antique cash as long as it is possible(should be for a while).

Does anyone here knows about the reason why Paypal has sued Google Over wallet?

Yes you are right, we do not know how it is going to go, who are going to hack our money, I will just wait for at least a year to know how NFC works with mobile.
