[request] 9 desktop wallpaper manager
 

hello,

first of all i'm a noob in programming so i do a request to a program to manage 9 desktop wallpapers. I know that you can choose a pic from the image folders. But i would have to choose a pic from installed themes, wich have only 4 desktop wallpapers. i want to set these wallpapers on desktop 5 to 9. have searched for example for the carbon theme wallpapers using filebox. but i couldn't find these..
The only thing i found are some symlinks,i couldn't copy these.Gave error broken symlink after copying.I have carbon theme installed.
Anyone a sollution to solve this minor problem?

Also someone to make the default themes wich came with n900 to have 9 wallpapers??

You say you cannot choose an image that is not from the images folder? Do you have CSSU (or Matan's or Mohammad's hildon patches installed - but these are REALLY old)?

I do have CSSU installed (latest one) and i can choose an image from a image folder. But for examle i'm using carbon theme now. and i have only 4 carbon backgrounds. The rest is blank/black. So i thought i could find the images with filebox,but aperenty i can't find them.
So a wallpaper manger for finding/addon/ using the images from a installed theme could help...:D

Have that one to.:) But how to use it to set 9 desktop wallpapers?
When i select carbon theme, and use the carbon desktop bexkgrounds, i have only have 1-4 desktop with carbon theme wallpaper, the others 5-9 remain black/black.

I can't find the carbon png/jpg to set the 5-9 desktop backgrounds manually.

i tried this, but no luck.
I don't have a folder called .backgrounds or .background in MyDocs/home/user

i downloaded "water" imageset and extracted to .backgrounds I manualy created the folder .backgrounds, because there was none.
The discription said NOT TO EXTRACT to .background it will replace your cuurent backgrounds. So it is ment to be to replace the backgrounds.
But also after reboot, my backgrounds are the same.
So in my opionion the background images are stored elsewere.

So at this piont i still haven't figured out how to put the carbon wallpaper at desktop 5 to 9.

any ideas???

The easyiest way is to create a .desktop file, containing this
this file should be aside with the images milky-1 -- milky-9 in images folder.
Then you can just choose the wallpappers from the list in the Change bckground menu
