is Meego Dead for Nokia ?
 
Has Nokia Scrapped the Meego project ? I heard that Nokia has tied up with Microsoft for all its upcoming phones for OS. Inshort is Meego Dead ?

As far as Nokia is concerned MeeGo IS dead as they gave up on that idea to join with Microsoft.

there are many changes every hour.

so i understand nokia.
its not nice what they did with Maemo and so.
but its opensource.

because everyone hacks on nokia. other companys are not better.

Not true, MeeGo is changed from a "next generation OS to succeed high end smartphones thus pushing Symbian to mid-tier and low-end phones" to a "project in Nokia" aka "we are going with WP7 but will keep MeeGo in case WP7 turn into a turd..."

As long as there is Elop to promote WP7 (which is his job, which is his mission), MeeGo isn't going to be on any Nokia phone.
We'll see what Intel does with MeeGo. But Android also runs on their Atom Processors, hence I don't expect much.

Your opening statement is ridiculous. By your logic, I can't criticize a musical artist because I don't have a successful record deal.

Nokia cannot scraped the MeeGo project on her own. It's a joint project with Intel.

And Elop promised there are _2_ MeeGo devices from Nokia by _2014_. That's very promising and exciting news for Nokia fans.

Of course, Elop didn't promised these particular two devices are mobile phones. It could be a tablet and a toaster, or two toasters. But still, general public is overwhelming excited upon hearing the news, and rushed to express their good-wish in the stock market.
