cannot update operating system

Ok so to start with I didn't want to stuff up my overclocking it took me forever to get that done (I'm on a lot of pain medication that just makesgetting my head around these things in life hard for me) but when I go to update to maemo 5 20.2010.36-2.002 the phone tells me I need to use pc suite well as luck has it pc suit tells me it doesn't fully support my phone.

many of my updates now require the newer OS (I think) so will not update

could anyone help me out should I re-flash with (what ) to get me back up and running at 1 Ghz with the new OS.:(

Have a look at the CSSU Wiki here:

http://wiki.maemo.org/Community_SSU#Installation

At Installation, there's a link to FAQ's. Hopefully this may help?

Hi br1zer,
thanks for that. I went through all the steps and the package is in the application manager, when I select it it still tells me that I must use PC Suite on my PC.

It still wont let me do it

Ensure you are connected to the internet and install the "rootsh" application using the application manager.

Once installed, start the Terminal application, and type the commands as shown above, pressing the Return/Enter key after each line. You may need to press Y to confirm the upgrade.

Type exit and press Return/Enter to close the terminal.
