New app idea - Translator w/ voice
 

Since flite has been hacked to work on the ITT, voice prompts can be given.

enter a sentence, say in english
app translates the sentence to french,
redisplay the sentence in both english and french
parrot back the sentence via flite in french

would this be a possibility as an app on the ITT?

You can even do that using the webbrowser:
translate using google translate or babelfish, and use the AT&T service to convert to wav files

or use a python script to do that, but I don't know if AT&T would like you if you do that (read the end user license)
