[REQUEST] Optimized and Tweaked for both speed and batterly life flashable image
 

I am about to flash my phone, too much randomness is happening and battery life sucks. Had to start using a HTC Hero with Villain 13.0 custom rom[http://www.villainrom.co.uk/forum/], it's super fast and functional :D

But I still miss my N900. The camera, music player, keyboard and contacts...

My request now is that I want an image that is ready tweaked by some smart people. With all the latest goodies. power kernel, CSSU, wifi-injection driver latest, pre overclocked to the max 805 limit with the super option available, dont remember the name. Maybe other people have know about other things that should be included.

Can I haz dis pllisz? ;)

from what I remember it's illegal to edit the fiasco image or the EMMC image. so dont expect much

Though one could email the OP with a 'good' backupmenu rootfs+optfs, deleting from the latter tar the personal info.
It's not flashing, it's untarring: still illegal?

Redistributing Nokia's bins on the Internet is legally questionable.

BTW, isn't manually tweaking your device yourself and backing that up then restoring it when needed a lot easier?

Making a custom *.bin is not what the N900 is about (for me)!
I'm not a follower, I don't want the same setup as anyone else.
I don't want the same "tweaked" system as someone else, I want a stock OS and I tweak and hack the hell out of it until it's correct. I change the setup every reflash (1 - 3 months).


Or you could just create yourself a little script and auto install all the files and tweaks you need and modify files you need. It may take some time, but will work... All in one script :D :eek:

I don't want ANYTHING preassembled; in fact, anyone who does anything but build a N900 out of subatomic particles is just a wimp!

But really, beginning my explorations from a good jumping-off point seems perfectly sensible. maybe we can pretend that human history has already run on for thousands of years and not start with discovering fire.

I think the backupmenu approach would work well; in fact I used it when I had two N900s. Please don't send the police after me. i hope Nokia doesn't sue.

Why is that? There are 2 custom EMMC images on the nitdroid maemo wiki page.
