NitDroid: Upgrade Steps
 

Hello there. I have been trialing NITDroid and have version: nitdroid 2.6.28.nit.06 on mmcblk1p2

I initially set this up via the auto-installer.

If I want to upgrade to 12, do I need a clean install? Can I auto-install ? Will I need to reset all my settings and applications?

whever i upgrade i find myself going to http://xuggs.blogspot.com/. this is for gingerbread obviously so change accordingly. And i believe there is an newer kernel. oh and you'll need to tidy up your multiboot which will still show both your old and new versions.

sudo
# cd /home/user/MyDocs
# wget http://downloads.nitdroid.com/e-yes/gingerbread.tar.bz2

# bzip2 -d gingerbread.tar.bz2
# mount /dev/mmcblk1p2 /and
# cd /and
# rm -rf * (this removes all the files from the old installation)
# tar xvf /home/user/MyDocs/gingerbread.tar

# cd /home/user/MyDocs
# wget http://downloads.nitdroid.com/nitins...nal1_armel.deb

# dpkg -i nitdroid-kernel-2.6.28-06_final1_armel.deb
