keysym differences for keyboard layouts
 

folks - just curious, do the different keyboard layouts of the N900 generate different keysym values for keys where they are different? i would expect so although i don't have something to test other than my own unit which is a US/English layout.

for example, the arrow keys are shared in the german layout. there are only 2 physical arrow keys. the alternate ones are activated using the Fn key.

my questions
1) do all the Fn keys on all the different keyboard layouts generate the same keysym value?
2) i'm assuming the keysym value for the key to the right of P on the german keyboard will generate a different value than that on the US/English layout

is that correct?

sorry, my bad. i just realized i can simulate this by changing the hardware keyboard layout in the control panel. sorry.
