N900 Upgrade - Data Preservation
 

Hey everybody:

So my n900 is on its last leg (USB/charger port ripped off circuitboard, unlikely to be repairable) and it's high time I start looking for a new device. I'm pretty strongly considering the nokia e7, but I do have some questions regarding data migration from my existing handset to the new one.

I've been regularly backing up my sms, contacts, and calendar using the backup utility onto a mircoSD card. Does anyone know if this information is transferable/can be restored onto the e7 from the SD card, even though it uses symbian^3? If not, are there any ways to migrate this information (especially saved sms messages) from the n900 using nokia's PC suite?
