Using a USA version of the N900 in the UK

I'm going on a trip to the UK soon, and I'd like to use my N900 there. Can I just plug in a UK SIM card? Any carrier that is more N900-friendly than others?

if you have a look around the web you can usually find some half decent deals for browsing on PAYG. i'm on a contract so i can't say for sure but i think that O2 have the better offers

T-Mobile in the UK aren't too bad, 50p internet for one day, £2.50 for a week, £5 for a month or £20 for 6 months on pay as you go. There are some usage caps, but there always are.
