Play WindowsMedia internet radio on your 770
 

I have figured-out how to stream WM radio stations to my Nokia 770, using Orb Network.

It's pretty straightforward: install Orb 2.0 (free software, now in beta) and tell it to translate WM to Winamp (.pls) format in Control Panel/Streaming Format. Find the mms: url and paste it in to a Custom channel in Audio/Internet Radio. Using Orb's Configuration setting, select under Advanced "Enable UPNP Mediaserver".

Now, playing one's favorite WindowsMedia-only Internet radio stations on the 770 is as simple as selecting your Orb server using Nokia's Media Streamer app! The only "catch" I have found is that it requires you have a PC running Orb somewhere on your network.

Should also be possible to use Orb when away-from-home via mycast.orb.com but I will leave that one as "an exercise for the reader". ;)
