just by connect the N900 to a computer usb port...

I have annoying Security Restrictions on my work PC and I cannot connect an N900 to it when it is switched on. :(

But when I switch the N900 off and connect it (with the battery in) with a USB cable, it charges but also shows up on Windows Explorer as an additional drive. :)

i see. i tried and could see them in windows explorer. however, the drive is not shown with its name, but just "removable drive", and i CANT access the content.

i wonder if there is something like Clockworkmod for Android, which we can enable usb storage drive without booting. Better if battery is not even needed, with only usb cable connected and power though usb.
