The Off topic threads wont as they are "supposed" to no relevance to the maemo OS or hardware. This also would be the reason why there is no "Thanks" buttons.

That said, we still have the report button to inform the mods of the trolls.

after installing the tweaks my battery life dint improve.it shows me large wakeups in powertop.battery gives 1221mAh..how much shud it give?

i installed karam's speed patch and battery improvements patch.from http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=73315.but my battery is original and i just flashed my N900..according to them i installed powertop adn htop...after i type powertop in xterminal i get many wakeups..around 3000 and sometimes 4000 and sometimes 500 only..how to get the battery life that everyone is facing..i gad many post in http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=73315..if u want u can check it from page 145 to 164

trisha02, I read a lot of the posts in the other thread, but not all of them. How long does your battery typically last now?

i get out of the house at 7:00 am with 95% (fully charged)..listen to songs till 8:00am..charge drops to 89%..then my set is at standby from 8:00 to 11:30 because at tht time i attend my university class. charge comes down to 80..i play webos for 10mins..charge goes down to 75...jst txt few times after tht and take 2 or 3 calls. at 4:00 pm my battery is 50% left..i use wifi from 4 to 7..then battery over..*** from 4 to 7 i dnt continuously use WiFi..jst stay connected and browse thru 1 webpage in 30mins..this is what i did for karams battery patch

after that i did >>> kernel-config load ideal.ORIG..to load the ideal.ORIG profile that karam made..

I don't think there's any problem with your battery or your N900. I get pretty much the same. I charge my phone daily. Under heavy use, I can deplete a full charge in around 4-5hours. Maybe you just have to accept the fact that our beloved N900 is not the best performer when it comes to battery life.
