System integration of digital compass
I've now built a cheap solar digital bluetooth compass.
The n900 recognizes the data coming from the sensor. Can anybody help me to integrate this data into the system. I want OVI-Maps, Gps-applications and other applications to make use of the data of my digital compass. Can anyone help me? |

Why do not explain little more what you built...I'm very curious...don't let me die in the dark....please.

Re: System integration of digital compass
I've bought at ebay:
- arduino mini plus 168 3.3V (plus a usb adapter) - Honywell HMC5883 digital compass - arduino bluetooth modul (everything very cheap and still available in big quantitiy) The parts are very little (1/3 of a little matchbox). I'm a pure academic and don't solder very often. I've never worked with those pieces. What I've done everybody is able to do. The seller of the digital compass gives a link to the libraries for arduino code. There is also a useful basic application. There is a script at "thescript" for arduino with n900. I've assembled everything and it worked out of the box: The arduino sends the signals of the digital compass by bluetooth to the n900. The n900 receives the signal and prints it out on the screen. As power supply I've bought a very cheap solar key chain lamp. The arduino works now with a battery that is charged by the sun. |
