You are one very confused/confusing guy... your username is ericsson (Sony Ericsson?), you love bada (Samsung), yet you love posting at TMO (used to be Nokia)...

TMO more & more becoming a place for competitor toddlers. Btw, Bada is not running Linux kernel (though it could) IIRC, but Nucleus instead.
Samsung fanbois... ts ts. Is there a talk.bada.org somewhere? Go and play there.

It's a C++-based API & UI that can run on top of a Linux kernel, or a proprietary OS. A bit like Qt.

For me:
MeeGo
Maemo5 / Android
WebOS
iOS
WP7
Bada
Symbian

If I could, I prefer a hybrid:
1) MeeGo OS
2) with Dalvik engine fully compatible with Android apps
3) UX from WebOS with slight inspiration from Android

But it is more likely to have:
1) Android OS
2) rootable, unlocked bootloader
3) with Qt, QML, C++ framework
4) UX from WebOS with slight inspiration from Android

Yes, but Samsung is using Nucleus.

The C++ API is a bit like the crap Nintendo does, even standard stuff like memory allocation and file/disk access has to go through it, so forget a smooth ride if you want to port some POSIX code to it. Prepare for a rewrite.

Had to do some work on Bada and already hated it after a day ;)

The cool thing about mobile phones is the variety. This variety and competition is what move things fwd.

LOL, yes it is easy to think that, but imo fanboyism is what holds most people back.

fanboyism = a perverted form of vanity and group pressure created by ignorance and corporate ********.
