Change Nokia's default splash screens.
 

open xterm
sudo gainroot
cp /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/hildon/*nokia* /media/mmc1

------------------------
the above comands will copy following files

qgn_indi_about_nokia_logo.png
qgn_indi_nokia_770.png
qgn_indi_nokia_hands.jpg
qgn_indi_startup_nokia_logo.png

take these files to you computer.
Edit these files to what ever you want.
Then move back to mmc card.
copy these files to /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/hildon

Ofcourse you can change backgrounds in dir /usr/share/backgrounds/

Does this also work with the n800

If it does it asks for a password, i put my screen lock code in and says that thats not correct.

My Nokia logo replacent ^^ Oh, a bit of a warning... On startup, the Nokia logo... it doesn't handle transparency correctly (it does on shutdown, though) If you have anything transparent in the logo, then it will show up as black. (Just like it does on this forum, which makes it look reallyyyy baaad....)
