N900 replaced, what faults to check for?
I apologise if this has been covered before, i had a look around and couldn't find what i was after.
I have recently had my N900 replaced by Nokia, it was out of warranty and replaced free of charge, so im pretty happy about that... silly charging port. What is currently on my mind, is that although it is out of warranty, they must give a 1 month warranty to any new devices... so while i have a month to check things out, is there anything i should check for to make sure i wont be caught with my pants down in a few months time? also, i am having light leaking from the gap beneath the X and C keys, which hasn't happened on my previous 2 N900's... is this an issue, and could it turn into a bigger issues down the track? Maybe im being paranoid, but i know as time goes on, getting a N900 replaced is going to get harder and harder. Any advice would be appreciated. |

kronos22, check if you have defective pixles on LCD. I had more than 20 on mine and I got replaced with the new one. :)
The best way to check the screen is to set brightness to the maximum in a dark place and then run this LCD DeadPixel Test with browser in fullscreen mode (also zoom in if necessary to fit the background). |
