Turning on display by touch?
I was just wondering if it's possible to create an easier way to get the display back on using touch screen?
Clicking the power button once/twice or trying to unlock it with the slide switch gets kind of annoying especially when you're multi-tasking and using the phone with one hand. I know you can always slide the keyboard open, but having a touch interface type feature to get the display to light up again would be awesome! :) (perhaps a double tap feature, or a swipe gesture on the screen...) |

add me in the list too please :P

yea you're right...but what about if we want to wake up the display when it's locked...any touch features for that?

Re: Turning on display by touch?
You can touch the slide lock. If you are using the phone with one hand it's easy to press the power button and swipe.

Back to topic: The feature you are requesting deals with the accelerometer, for detecting taps from the screen. It is pretty do-able, but whoever attempts to implement it should rewrite the driver responsible about that, which is waaaaaay above my little coding skills. |
Re: Turning on display by touch?
More like fix rather than a full "rewrite" :)
