Dying system
The Linux-made systems are dying...
Elop kills MeeGo, so makes Intel. Android's no *true* Linux... Is there no chance of living of such a system? |
Re: Dying system
Doesn't seem like it. You'd think that someone would know how to package it onto a device that would sell quite well.

There doesn't appear to much of an incentive for manufacturers to produce an open linux-based device. Given the current focus on ecosystems (i.e. bleeding consumers dry by locking them in and selling them proprietary software/services), why would any manufacturer waste money producing a device that allows people the freedom to completely bypass the manufacturers chosen ecosystem? I've seen the future, and it looks like sh1t. |
Re: Dying system
had hoped Nokia would stay on the righteous path but no. Alternatives are few. I'd rather get an n95 then jump on android / wp7 or ios.
