Chinese text while calling
1 Attachment(s)
Hi
I'm getting a chinese or chinese-like message while calling. When the connection is done and the call is waiting ie phone speaker switcher enters speaker mode I get the text as attached. What is it? How to disable it (or make it english) Thanks in advance |
Re: Chinese text while calling
could anybody tell me what it it?

Re: Chinese text while calling
The text looks like 号码归属地类型未知. My Chinese isn't very good, but I think it means something along the lines of "Unknown number type" or the that "the category that the number belongs to is unknown."
But my Chinese is really sketch. I'm sure there's someone else around here whose Chinese is infinitely better than mine (Amanda Lam?). As to why you're getting it, I have no idea... what region/language is your phone set to? |
Re: Chinese text while calling
:)
What is your locale? Open "X Terminal" and execute " locale ". |
Re: Chinese text while calling
Looks like it means: Cannot locate the origin of this call

Re: Chinese text while calling
It's a caller location software. when someone calling you, or you call somebody, it display his location, but only chinese phone number information stored in the database. have you installed numberlocation? see http://maemo.org/packages/view/numberlocation/

I had same issue and removed numberlocation, still getting same message.. Also reinstalled and removed with purge, no luck. What to do next?
Edit : rebooted phone and message is gone, it seems. |
