Testers needed - FTP client
 

Hi

For some time I have been working on an GUI FTP client for Maemo5, called SimplyFTP.

Now I'm ready for a beta release, and would like some "external" input.

SimplyFTP has been updated to version 0.1.

The following changes has been made :

* About box added
* Some messages corrected
* Columns now auto sizes to fit data
* When selecting a file / folder, the whole row is marked

I've downloaded and quickly used the program. I've experienced that I cannot scroll down in the remote folder. Touching the screen always selects the folder (under the finger). Navigation by typing the path is fine. The program crashes when upload is finished.

I have noticed the scroll problem too, and have released a version where you have to press the name field to open a folder.

I have been unable to get a crash on upload, but will keep testing.

SimplyFTP has been updated to version 0.2.

The following changes has been made :

'Delete' menu item was visible until first connection was established

You now have to press the name to change into a directory

The status message 'List' wasn't removed until another status was displayed

Installing it on my phone now... Will report any bugs/suggestions as I use it! :)

The application refers to itself as PocketFTP (not a biggie). However, it would be nice if the password input was masked like every other app where only the last letter typed was shown, all else is masked with an asterix ("*") and a default start path (usually "/") be made available as an option.

If you could let the download break up the download to X number of sessions (where X is configurable), much like a download manager, that would be a HUGE plus point.
