How do i remove the R&D mode?

On your computer (terminal code below for linux/mac)

flasher-3.5 --disable-rd-mode

Not on your n900 but on the computer used to reflash the device.

Doesnt work if i type into the CMD:

flasher-3.5 --disable-rd-mode
