N800 AT&T Internet and Blackberry 7290
Hi, all! I've just received my N800 and I'm very impressed! I do have a question about Bluetooth internet access, though.
I have successfully paired my N800 and Blackberry 7290. ATT Internet shows up as one of my connection options, but it does not work for an internet connection. I have tried researching this, and understand that the N800 has some pre-sets for several major internet provider cell networks. These are: Access Point Name:proxy Dial-up number: *99***1# User Name: (blank) Password: (blank) Has anyone succeeded in getting the internet access to work with these or other settings? I use the same settings as sam but with no password. What would be the difference in service?

Re: N800 AT&T Internet and Blackberry 7290
Does the 7290 have bluetooth Dial-up networking (DUN) profile? I know my 8700c does not. The only way to use 8700c's as a modem is: a) connect it to PC via USB and use RIM's software to dial. b) there is a third-party software for the device to allow bluetooth DUN. But I believe it is only tested for Window PC's.

Thanks, folks for the info. I gave those settings a try, but no luck. I also checked the Blackberry 7290 and did not find a DUN setting. That may be the problem.
