n900 loses signals very often and no signals in class
 

i have always had probem with n900 that it always loses signals. people say my house is badly located but my brothers signals comes fine. i have tried my sim in my brothers phone n for the whole day i did not have this problem. when im in class, i dont get any signals. it is in the basement but all my friends get 3,4 bars of signals always. i have tried using my sim in my friends iphone and it get me 3,4 bar signals n i sent few texts from class. so it means my network n sim are ok. please help me why is n900 so weak in signals? in my house i constantly keep on losing signals n then it reconnects and in class i dont get any signal. this problem is from the start when i bought my phone. i have also flashed it 2 times but problem remains so im sure it is no application that is causing this prob. please help me with this problem.

Maybe you have a faulty N900? My N900 has better signal than other phones I have used in dead spots in my appartment. On the other hand, if it loses signal completely, it refuses to make a call for a couple of seconds after it gains signal again.

hmm but do u know if i can fix this by any settings? or by modifying the hardware? as i dont have warranty
