Updating error - asks to connect to Ovi Suite
 

Hi all,

I'm probably quite stupid, but I've tried to have a look at previous threads to find this error. I've tried to update my phone for a while now, and I have about 20 updates pending (including all the lib, etc). When I do try to update, it comes up with an error asking me to use Nokia PC Suite to update, which doesn't exist for Mac -.- So no can do.

I have had a look about this before and someone said that this error can happen when the phone memory or something is too full?

I guess I'm just asking, in short, is there any way to update my phone?

Sorry if there's a similar thread, I am a terrible idiot :(

yes there are multiple threads on this subject including a sticky atthe top of the application thread.

However If you are familiar with the Terminal,

sudo gainroot

apt-get update

apt-get upgrade

this should generate at the very least an output that will give you a pointer regarding the problems that exist on your phone
-or
will download and unpack updates

The sticky on the application thread should help you further.
