Ekoore -- an x86 Ubuntu Tablet

Have you seen Ekoore? Three very neat x86 tablets, running Ubuntu out of the box. With Perl (the most expensive version), there is a possibility of bying a case with integrated keyboard. All in all, both the hardware and the software and very, very nice! What do you think?

My first thought was: Could the Ekoore hardware run this?

My second thought was: How did they get around hardware/kernel restrictions mentioned here? Are they shipping a legal product?

Bump.

This project looks pretty serious, look how many products they have. They seem to answer very promptly on the forum... Benny, I don't know what they did regarding the obstacles mentioned there, but looks promising for now.

Anyway, I've expected far more feedback on this, isn't it what many of us here have been desperately looking for?

Those tablets look quite promising but they sure aren't cheap.

It's x86 (essentially an atom netbook with the keyboard removed), shouldn't have any special hardware/kernel restrictions.

Now this looks very nice.... Pascal

€199

7 inch form factor
Cortex A8 1.2 GHz,
GPU OpenVG da 320 MHz,
RAM 512 MB DDR3,
4 GB, storage
Android 2.3 Gingerbread
WebCam
Accelerometer
Microphone
stereo speakers
Capacitive screen
USB,
HDMI out
SD slot

That is certainly a lot of my preference boxes ticked and a good price too. However my French is not too good so I cannot tell if the blurb says that it made out of potato or not?
