[Request] Fraps like application to record games.
 

Well I know there is a application to record already but it is terrible. It will barely record at 1 frame every 2 seconds. Just wondering if it is possible to record only gameplay similar to what Fraps does on PC.

:S Just noticed Fraps was only Windows based. I thought it was Linux compatible too. :L.

I don't mind what is used I just need a good recording utility :(.

There was a script or something that used mplayer to rip strait from Xserver. Ammyt made it into a QBW. Feck knows where it is though.

I tried recording with the Load-Applet and it was the worst I've seen in terms of recording. I had everything closed and tried a simple 10 second screen recording of changing homescreen and showing app list. it felt like it was just taking a very shoddy screenshot every second or 2.

Well if it is better than Load-Applet, I'm willing to give it a try.

at the moment i use openssh and see my N900 screen on my pc and record it from my pc but that is not good quality video. and i have not tried Load-Applet so i cannot compare. but it is obvious that we need a good programme for this trick

Could you not record by using the TV-OUT cable into a computer?

Depends whether you have in input YPbPr port. Laptops do not. Same goes for most PCs too.
