N9 built in browser seems to have problem with HTTPS sites
Starting in this thread (http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...1&postcount=26) I wrote about problems I have with https sites not loading on the N9 built in browser. Since this seems to be a more complex issue, I started its own thread for it here.
To gain some intel, please check if you can use those websites and document it here: P.S: If you post workin/non working URLs, please enter the full link so others can test/confirm it. Also it might be wise to restart the browser after every test to make sure you have no interference from earlier attempts. |
Re: N9 built in browser seems to have problem with HTTPS sites
Here my own attempts:
https://meego.com => Notification: Page can not get opened http://geocaching.com => Loads, but can not log in (login form dissapears without error notification) https://geocaching.com => Notification about invalid certificate, after ignoring it, the page continues loading but hangs at approx. 80%. https://geocaching.com/login => Notification about invalid certificate, after ignoring it, the page loads completely and I can log in. Tested on 3G as well as on wifi using PR1.1 |
Re: N9 built in browser seems to have problem with HTTPS sites
Quite the same: http works but https hangs - I did not get any errors about certificates. PR 1.1 and built in browser in N9.

Re: N9 built in browser seems to have problem with HTTPS sites
This is a known bug in Qt WebKit.
PR 1.2 fixes this. |
