n900 touchscreen problems
 

hello all, my lcd broke recently and I had to buy a new one. After I have replaced the lcd screen, touchscreen would not work. I ordered a new touch screen digitizer but I have the same problem. Could it be software problem or is my phone unreparable? If I start the device everithing works but the touchscreen digitizer. I am also ordering a new slideflex, maybe it has problems with the ribbon cables. can this be a software related problem ? Should I reflash it to the original state ? Please help....:(

Hmm, I have a simliar problem (posted http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?p=1128903) except my replacement screen doesn't work.. digitizer is fine.

If your screen is working doesn't that mean the slider is working? I don't know if I should order a new slider too since my digitizer is working.

Can we compare what we did to see if someone made a mistake? I put a photo in my thread

I've done the same thing with the connection, I've connected the lcd to the digitizer, then to the slide flex and then to the n900 motherboard only to find out that my digitizer won't work anymore, I've bought a new one, it has the same problem, won't work. You could try to connect the borken lcd to see if that one lights up. If it does it could be that your new lcd is broken too....

Has your new slider arrived yet? I got a new slider and it fixed my problem, so maybe the connection to your digitizer on the slider is broken (despite it going through the LCD connector).
