I did use it on openmoko freerunner , it's usable it's debian it's free but I switched to QtMoko
but dont have a n900 , what about n8x0 ? |

I think I saw around there that it was first developed on a 810. repos are online for 810 too.

i tried the os didnt work at first i try and try and i got it working
install bootmenu frome maemo pckage format sdcard ext3 one partirtion is cool mount /dev/mmcblk1p1 /media/mmc1 nano /etc/bootmenu.d/hackable.ext.item ITEM_NAME="Hackable1" ITEM_ID="hackable" ITEM_DEVICE="${EXT_CARD}p1" ITEM_MODULES="mbcache jbd ext3" ITEM_FSTYPE="ext3" ITEM_FSOPTIONS="noatime,rw" cp /etc/resolv.conf /media/mmc1 cp -a /lib/modules/2.6.28-omap1/ /media/mmc1/debia/lib/modules/ cp -a /lib/firmware/* /media/mmc1/debian/lib/firmware/ i changed all /etc/X11 with the SHR OS and lanch ts_calibrate the touchscreen worked fin and i changed with the HAckable1 X11 and it worcked change sources.list with new deb and ....o chroot /media/mmc1 and apt-get what u want reboot and cooooool if i had time i will try all thinks its debian platforme you can install all package like debian it still lot off works to do but it very fast than debian or ubuntu just try i love to have suport for this OS i love it change xorg.conf with the SHR too to get keybord working the /etc/pointercal files is the touchscreen key if you have hackable1 installed jus us it rename it to pointercal and have fun if you find my tuto is hard try the one frome http://elektranox.org/n900/installation/manual.html |
