maemo.org - Talk - The solution for unable to save game process on Harmattan

On Harmattan, some games such as Gears or Samurai lose process when you close them. It's frustrated to start from beginning every time.

This is due to the "normal" user doesn't have permission to write/edit the directory.

This can be colved as following:

Start Terminal

Code:

devel-su



rootme



develsh



chown user:users /home/user/.config/samurai-2

This is for Samurai-2, if you want to change for Gears, simply replace samurai-2 to gears.

Code:

chown user:users /home/user/.config/gears

And then the save will work. Enjoy!
